At the end of last year, Esports Mogul was excited to offer Mogul as the exclusive platform provider of the 2017 Vainglory World Championship.

Last week, we released an announcement about our staggering user acquisition numbers and quite frankly, we’ve been inundated with queries about how successful the Vainglory World Champs were. When you guys ask, we deliver – so, here are the top stats from our very first world championship event…

    3100 event attendees

Over four consecutive days, 3100 attendees poured into the Kallang Theatre in Singapore to watch the world’s best teams go head-to-head, as well as witness the grand unveiling of the 5v5 player mode. Not only was the venue packed to the brim, but attendance was up by 500% on the 2016 Championship!

Of the attendees, more than 60% classified themselves as 'casual gamers'. What does that mean for Esports Mogul? Well, not only was this event extensive contact with our target audience, but it shows that esports has become about more than just the tournament itself – esports is well and truly a spectator sport with a supportive community behind it.

So, since the World Champs, we’ve been working away behind the scenes to build on this notion that esports has a large fan-base. This brought us to our latest release on Mogul – the professional esports match voting feature, Esports Elite. This feature allows gamers to harness that electric event atmosphere and community spirit and bring it right into their own homes as they engage, back their favourite players and immerse themselves in our professional match live streams.

15 million online views, plus over 100,000 concurrent viewers

We wanted to make sure that even people who couldn’t make it to the event had the chance to tune into our live streams. That’s why we had five on-site caster pairs broadcasting the event in nine different languages all over the world. The results? Over the four days, we had an extraordinary 15 million online views, with up to 100,000 concurrent viewers. Not only does that show Mogul can support such a large viewer base, but it means those viewers are out there ready to tune in!

    9,135 new registrations on Mogul

Yep, you read that right. From the Vainglory World Championship alone, Mogul gained over 9,000 new registered users. If that doesn’t scream success, we don’t know what does!
